As of now, Airbus stands firm as 1 of the world’s 2 leading aircraft manufacturers. It has 47,600 employees and manufactures a wide-ranging commercial aircraft famous for their efficiency, innovation, economy and safety. In the past years, Airbus has frequently delivered greater number aircraft than its competitor and has constantly booked at least 50% of all new orders.

It became famous internationally because of its A380 which is the biggest airliner ever built. This model is dictating new platforms in the aviation industry.

The A300 was renowned as the world’s 1st twin-engine wide body jet that started operation in 1974. It was preceded by the A310 and A320. In 1990s, Airbus launched its long range A330/A340 Family and in April of 2005, the initial flight of A380 took place which drew worldwide attention. Airbus is also planning to manufacture the long-range twin-engine A350 XWB which is expected to enter service in the year 2013.
