Airbus A300B2/B4
Two prototype A300B1s were built by Airbus, the 1st of these flying from Toulouse, France on October of 1972, the 2nd was on February 5 the succeeding year. The GE CF6 was the engine choice for early A300s. The 2.65m longer A300B2 followed the prototype A300B1s, the first manufacture version initially flew in April 1974. This aircraft came into service with Air France on May 23 of 1974.
