The Airbus A310 is a medium to long-range widebody airliner. Launched in 1978, it was the 2nd aircraft created by the Airbus group of European aerospace companies, which now belongs to EADS. The A310 is a reduced variation of the A300, it was the first twin-engine wide body airliner. The A310 (together with the A300) formally stopped production in July 2007 even though the last delivery was in June of 1998.
